Hi, Ink from the Wet Mermaid Crew here! 

Development on Chapter 3 is progressing along quite nicely, and we have recently broken 1000 downloads and 100 followers here on Itch.io which we are really happy about! We really see that as a great first launch for game with no marketing and are thankful to everyone who decided to give the game a shot, be it from here on another place like F95Zone. 

Player Feedback from 0.1

We've also received a decent amount of good and useful responses on our feedback form, but we always welcome more and strongly recommend people take a few minutes to fill the form even if they didn't like the game! Most of the general feedback we have gotten so far has been incredibly positive, and it seems that the game is really resonating with some people. Still, we would also be interested to know if it did not connect with you and why that might be. 

Generally there hasn't been any feedback that has really surprised us. For example, we knew even before launch that the most common opinion would be that there is not quite enough adult content in this first release, and the stats so far support that. When asked "Was there enough adult content in this release?", 71% of people answered "Could have used a bit more." That is definitely a thing we're hoping to improve with Chapter 3 while still trying to tell an actually engaging story at the same time. However, we also know that for a lot of people there probably isn't a thing as "too much sex/nudity" in an AVN, so that is something for us to keep in mind when looking at these responses.

However, as the writer of this game I was really glad to see that out of the people who have taken the time to give us feedback, everyone has given the story a rating of 8 or above out of 10, and 35% have given it a full 10 stars. The graphics too have received universally positive feedback, the average rating for the Character Art being a 4,64 out of 5 stars. Unsurprisingly, the background art received the least love as it was our lowest priority for this release (excluding UI art, but we did not even ask people about it) but even it has an average rating of 4 out of 5. 

Other stats that specifically interested us were about the characters, and it was interesting to see how diverse the spread of favorites were. Some of those stats were

Favorite Character VISUALLY: Anne comes in 1st with 42,9% and Charlie 2nd with 28,6%. (Perhaps unsurprisingly redheads with big breasts and muscle mommies are clearly popular and also it likely has something to do with the amount of naked skin both of them show.) 

Most Interesting Character (STORY/PERSONALITY): Jackie with 35,7% and John with 21,4%. (Positively surprised by the amount of people showing love for Jackie and her dynamic with John.)

Which character do you want to see more in Ch3?: Jackie with 35,7%, while Anne and Charlie are tied with 14,3%. (Again, the amount of interest in Jackie was perhaps a bit surprising but definitely welcome!) 

Anyway, those are just some of the stats we have so far, maybe you find them interesting as well! We plan on making a new feedback form for Ch3 when it releases to try and see how much the feedback might change as the development progresses.

Discord Woes

As we released the game, we also opened up a community Discord server for those who want to discuss the game more and follow the development. Currently I post a short weekly update on the development there along with some teaser images such as this new look for Sarah for Chapter 3 seen below and a sneak peek at an upcoming sex scene. We also do some Questions of the Week, like discussing favorite characters, wishes for upcoming content and other AVN games etc.

However, the growth of the Discord has been hampered by some unfortunate technical difficulties relating to the invite links I have posted. Despite setting the links to never expire, links have been shown to some people as "expired or invalid" even before the usual 7 day expiration date. Partially this can be attributed to me simply messing up as this is the first time I have managed a server and I'm still learning, but some I'm sure are simply on Discord's end because I have checked that the links are set to not expire and they are written correctly. We are now trying if a code generated by my co-developer Quill could solve the issue, but if the problem persists I will have to contact customer support on Discord to figure out what's going on. Hopefully it should now work, and I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been unable to join because of these growing pains. 

Anyway, I better get back to writing so we can get the next update done in good time.
